Fan Delivers to Peeks

Chih Fan raised it up from the hijack and Roeland Peeks defended from the big blind. The flop came 8♥7♣4♦ and Peeks check-called a bet of 9,000 from Fan.

The 4♣ paired the board on the turn and Peeks led out with a bet of 7,000. Fan raised to 26,000 and Peeks stuck around for the K♦ on the river.

Peeks checked this time and Fan slid out a big stack of chips. Peeks nearly beat him into the pot with his remaining 64,000 chips in front of him. Fan flipped over A♦8♣ but Peeks rivered a better hand with K♠8♠ to score the double up.

Julien Sitbon limped in from the button and Alexander Sokolovsky was all in for his last 3,000 in the small blind. Jonas Mackoff checked his option in the big blind which created a small side pot.

The flop came 10♣5♦3♥ and Mackoff checked to Sitbon who tossed in a bet of 10,000. Mackoff quickly folded and the two hands were face up after all of the other tables completed their action.

Both players flopped a pair but it was Sitbon who was in charge with the better of the two. The 6♥ and J♣ runout was no help to Sokolovsky who was eliminated on the money bubble.
