Thomas Muehloecker kicked things off with a raise to 160,000 in the cutoff. Marius Gierse on the button called.

Both players checked the 3♦A♦2♦ flop and the 7♦ turn.

On the 4♦ river, Muehloecker led out a bet of 390,000. Gierse took a brief moment before raising to 1,200,000. Muehloecker went into the tank, and after four minutes, he decided to fold and give up the pot.

Brandon Sheils limped in from the small blind and Thomas Muehloecker checked his option from the big blind. The flop came J♠9♦3♥ and both players checked to the 6♣ on the turn.

Sheils checked again and Muehloecker tossed in a bet of 200,000. Sheils called and the 10♠ landed on the river. Sheils checked for the third time and Muehloecker threw in a bet of 550,000. Sheils deliberated for a couple of minutes before making the call. Muehloecker tabled 5x4x for a missed straight draw and Sheild held Q♦3♣ for just bottom pair.

Renji Mao opened to 200,000 from under the gun and faced Samuel Bernabeu who defended from the big blind.

Mao continued for 125,000 on the J♦6♣Q♦ flop, then fired a second barrel of 300,000 on the 2♠ turn. Bernabeu check-called both times.

The Q♠ river was checked by both players and Bernabeu flipped over J♥9♦ for two pair. Mao mucked his cards.

Gierse Gets Value on the River

Thomas Muehloecker completed his small blind, and Marius Gierse in the big blind bumped it up to 350,000. Muehloecker made the call, and the two saw a flop of K♠7♦3♥.

Muehloecker checked, and Gierse continued for 175,000, which was called.

The 4♥ turn was checked through.

When the A♦ hit the river, Muehloecker checked a third time. Gierse gave it a moment before sliding out a bet worth 700,000. Muehloecker took his time but eventually tossed in the call.

Gierse revealed A♣10♥ for top pair, and Muehloecker gave only a glimpse of his 8x8x before sending them to the muck.

Boivin Catches the River for a Double

Brandon Sheils raised to 200,000 in the cutoff and Thomas Boivin called from the big blind. The flop came A♠8♣5♠ and Boivin check-called a bet of 185,000 from Sheils.

The turn brought the 10♥ and Boivin check-called another bet of 365,000 from Sheils. The 9♠ completed the board and Boivin checked for the third time. Sheils shoved all in and Boivin instantly called off his stack of 765,000. Sheils turned over A♣8♥ for two pair but Boivin had 10♠3♠ for a rivered flush.

"Maybe I should have checked," Sheils said to himself after the hand.
