Prather Bites the Dust

Level 11

Robert Diantonio raised on the button and was three-bet by John Prather in the small blind. Diantonio called.

Both players drew two on the first draw and Diantonio called a bet from Prather.

On the second draw, Prather reduced to his draw to one and Diantonio took two off. Prather bet and Diantonio raised to put him all in for his last 7,000. Prather called and drew one while Diantonio stood pat.

John Prather: 7x5x3x2xAll in
Robert Diantonio: 8x7x6x4x2x

Prather needed an eight, six, or four to keep his tournament run alive, but instead he peeled 5x — eliminating him with a pair.

O'Dell Knocks One Out

Level 11

With Carlos Saucedo all in and at risk for his final 3,000, four players went to the first draw. Frankie O'Dell and Greg "FBT" Mueller drew two, Saucedo one, and Michel Bouskila two. O'Dell bet and the others called.

O'Dell drew one on the second draw, Mueller two, Saucedo patted, and Bouskila drew two. O'Dell bet and netted folds from both active players.

O'Dell and Saucedo stood pat and the former fanned out 8x5x4x3x2x for an eight perfect. Saucedo flung his hand face-down in the muck and made his way to the rail.

A Word With the Defending Champ

Level 11
Aaron Cummings
Aaron Cummings

Defending champ Aaron Cummings overcame a 574-entry field last year to claim his first and only WSOP bracelet and has been living a "normal" life between the series.

Cummings, who owns a tire shop in Montana and only plays poker recreationally, said "work and family" have been his focus since his victory last year.

Cummings arrived back to Vegas for the first time since his win just a couple weeks ago, but has no big aspirations to defend his title and doesn’t consider himself a specialist in any one game.

"I just like to play mixed or stud games," Cummings explained. "Something different... it's more entertaining."

Cummings currently sits with an above-average stack of 75,000 — putting him in good shape to make another deep run.

Burzaco Benefits From Owen's Snow Attempt

Level 12

Brad Owen raised from the cutoff and found one caller in Alejandro Burzaco, who was on the button.

Owen drew one and Burzaco drew two on the first draw. Burzaco then called a bet from Owen.

The same drawing action occurred on the second round and Burzaco again called a bet from Owen.

Owen stood pat and Burzaco also stood pat after thinking for a while.

Owen put out a final bet and Burzaco looked him up.

"You're good," Owen said as he turned over Qx8x6x5x4x.

Burzaco revealed 10x8x7x3x2x for a ten-low to claim the pot.
