Phil Hellmuth opened to 40,000 from the hijack and Ben Lamb defended his big blind. The 9♠7♦2♠ flop checked through to the 3♥ turn. Hellmuth folded to a bet of 65,000.
Hellmuth and Lamb tangled once again the hand after, with around 200,000 in the middle on the 7♠3♥10♠9♦ board. Both players checked on the turn, bringing in the 4♠ river. Lamb led out for 130,000 which frustrated Hellmuth, who threw his hand into the muck.
In a third successive hand, Hellmuth switched things up, limping in from under the gun. Albert Daher, next to act, raised to 60,000. The table folded before Hellmuth called.
Hellmuth check in the dark before the dealer put out the K♥6♠J♦ flop. Hellmuth check-called a bet of 30,000.
He then rose out of his chair once Daher bet 150,000 on the A♦ turn. A blow up looked like it was coming, but instead he frustatingly flipped over 7♦7♠ and sent his cards into the muck.
Two hands later, Hellmuth limped in from the small blind and Daher checked his option in the big blind. Hellmuth check-folded to a bet of 25,000 on the J♥J♠3♥ flop.
