Richards Extracts Value
Level 32
: Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Mikhaile Richards opened the betting with a raise to 800,000 from the cutoff. Jesus Rodriguez defended his big blind, and the two went off to a flop.
Action went check-check on 5♥8♦6♦, and the same happened on the 9♦ turn. The 7♥ river meant that both players had at least a straight, and for a third time, Rodriguez checked it over to Richards. She now took aggressive action for the first time postflop, as she bet out for 2,000,000. "I mean what are the chances?" questioned Rodriguez, who eventually flicked in the call.
Richards showed A♥10♠ for the ten-high straight. Rodriguez showed A♠3♣ for just a second, before flipping it back over as the pot was awarded to Richards.
