Takayama Extends Chip Lead
Level 33
: Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Chip leader Ken Takayama opened the action from early position with a raise to 1,200,000. He received two customers: Danny Mui called from the hijack, and Tefan Liu defended his big blind.
The three went off to a flop of J♦A♣10♣ and Liu checked to the aggressor, who chucked out another 1,200,000. Mui got out of the way, but Liu stuck around. The turn came the 6♦ and for the second street running Liu checked and Takayama bet. This time, the amount was 4,300,000. Liu made the call anyway.
The river 5♣ brought in the front door flush, and action checked through. Liu's K♥J♠ was no match Takayama's flopped set with J♣J♥ as he scooped in the pot to further increase his already dominant chip lead.
