Today will see the start of Event #67: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold'em at 10 a.m. local time here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. This event carries a $3,000,000 Guarantee on the prize pool.
There will be four Day 1 starting flights, one per day Wednesday through Saturday, June 25-28, each kicking off at the same time, with starting stacks of 30,000. All opening sessions will play 22 levels or until 15% of the field remains, whichever is later, at 30 minutes per level. There will be 20-minute breaks every four levels (or as needed for color-ups) and a 75-minute dinner break following Level 15 at about 6:30 p.m. Payouts will start on Day 1s.
Registration remains open for each starting flight until the start of Level 12, at about 4:30 p.m. local time and players are allowed two reentries per flight.
Day 2 on Sunday, June 29, starts at 11 a.m. and survivors of all four starting flights will be combined and play 17 levels of 40 minutes each. Dinner break will occur at around 5:40 p.m. at the conclusion of Level 31. PokerNews traditional coverage of this event starts on Day 2.
Stephen Winters came out victorious in this tournament one year ago. He beat a massive field of 20,647 entrants to secure a $401,210 payday, and of course, a bracelet.

Winner's Reaction
Absorbing the enormity of what he just accomplished won’t be lost on Winters any time soon.
“This is a whole other crazy level,” he said.
Winters survived the zaniness of the tournament by staying grounded. While he didn’t have a rail of supporters present to cheer him on at the final table, Winters stayed in constant touch with his family throughout the tournament.
He received all the encouragement he needed from his wife and children. In fact, Winters called his family before his post-match photography shoot and allowed them to participate in his moment via FaceTime.
“It was fun to have my kids kind of railing me from home,” Winters said with a wide smile. “Like, every time I would report on how I was doing, they'd be like, ‘Oh, daddy, try to get a thousand, try to get in top 900, and then they kept setting bars and bars and bars, and it's just the whole thing [is] surreal to be at this point.”
