Vincent Elia raised to 200,000 from under the gun, and action was folded to Charlton Hawes on the button, who called.
The flop came K♣Q♣3♠ and the action went check-check. The dealer turned the 10♥ and now Elia bet out for 125,000, which Hawes called.
The J♥ came on the river, and now Elia slowed down and checked. Hawes pushed out a hefty bet of 410,000, and this sent Elia into the tank and after 2-3 minutes, he called tabling Q♥Q♦ for a flopped set, and Hawes mucked his cards.

In the 903rd episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway is joined by special fill-in cohosts Team PokerStars Pro Jennifer Shahade and Josh Abady of Play Live Melbourne to discuss the latest in the poker industry, including the latest on the alleged chip-dumping incident from the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Millionaire Maker event. Winner Jesse Yaginuma did get paid the $1,000,000 bonus, but he and runner-up James Carroll are still awaiting a decision by WSOP officials on the regular prize money.
Another big story was Golden Nugget cancelling their $1 million guaranteed tournament, much to the dismay of several players, including Kyna England. The hosts discuss the decision and examine the larger concept of guarantees within the poker world. You'll then get highlights from a pair of Meet-Up Games (MUGs), including the PokerNews one at Planet Hollywood and the PokerStars one at Resorts World, where the first $5,300 Main Event seat to November's NAPT was awarded. See who the lucky winner was!
Next, get a sneak peek at the new show Hellmuth's Home Game presented by Poker Night in America (PNIA), a discussion on the state of poker in Australia, and a look ahead to the 2025 WSOP Main Event, which will kick off this week!
A new PokerNews Podcast will drop twice a week during the 2025 WSOP every Thursday and Sunday at 8a PT / 11a ET / 4p UK time. Remember to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you do not miss an episode!

Justin Oliver moved all in from late position for roughly 450,000 and was at risk against Peter Bigelow on the button, who made the call.
Justin Oliver: A♠K♠
Peter Bigelow: Q♦10♦
Things weren’t looking good for Oliver as the dealer spread the Q♣6♥8♥8♣ on the table. Before the river came, Oliver began shaking his Ace, summoning a Barry Greenstein–type aura. The dealer obliged, dropping the A♦ on the river to keep Oliver’s hopes alive. Bigelow grinned and joked, “That’s not fair, you can’t shake the Ace,” prompting laughter around the table. Another tablemate chimed in, “Good thing you didn’t shake the King, then you’d be drawing dead.”

Agharazi Babayev raised from early position to 120,000 and found a call from Guillaume Bonnet in the big blind.
The flop came K♣9♠3♦, Bonnet checked and Babayev continued for 150,000. Bonnet then decided to check-raise to 370,000, and Babayev called.
The turn saw the 10♠ and now Bonnet announced all in. Babayev snap called and it was in fact he who was at risk.
Agharazi Babayev: A♥A♠
Guillaume Bonnet: Q♠J♦
Bonnet had turned Broadway, and Babayev was drawing dead with his aces. The river brought the 9♦ and Bonnet was shipped the pot whilst Babayev was sent to the rail, not a happy bunny.
