Kornuth Defeats Desnos
Level 27
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Killian Desnos did plenty to entertain yesterday, and he continued in a similar style today in his third-round match versus Chance Kornuth.
With chips already flying and stacks swinging, Kornuth raised the button to 8,000 before Desnos three-bet to 19,000.
Kornuth called, and Desnos was happy enough with the 2♦J♣7♥ flop, as he moved all in for his remaining stack, roughly 150,000. Kornuth called, and Desnos was at risk.
Killian Desnos: K♦2♠
Chance Kornuth: 9♥7♦
Desnos needed help, but the deck did not cooperate as the board ran out 7♣J♠, giving Kornuth sevens-full, the pot, and passage to the next round.
