Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.
Today will see the start of Event #71: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship at 2 p.m. local time here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas, with starting stacks of 60,000 chips.
Day 1 consists of 10 levels, starting at 300/500 blinds and 500/1,000 limits, with 15-minute breaks every two hours of play. Blind levels will increase every 40 minutes for the first six levels, 60 minutes for levels 7-15, and 90 minutes for Levels 16 and beyond. No dinner break is scheduled on Day 1.
The Day 2 restart on June 27 is at 1 p.m. Players will play another 8 levels and have a 60-minute dinner break after Level 15. Those who bag will come back on June 28 for the final session to play down to a winner.
Registration remains open until the start of Level 12, about 2:15 p.m. on Day 2. However, no reentries are permitted.
Poker legend Phil Ivey is the reigning champion in this tournament. He shipped it last summer for $347,400 and his 11th gold bracelet, besting a field of 149 players.

Xixiang Luo raised on the button and Brian Breck called in the small blind. In the big blind Brian Hastings raised and got two callers.
Breck drew two while Hastings stood pat and Luo drew two behind. Breck checked over to Hastings who bet and only Luo called.
Hastings stood pat on the second draw while Luo drew two a second time and called the bet from Hastings.
The final draw saw Hastings stand pat while Luo drew one and both players checked. Hastings tabled 9x6x5x3x2x for nine-six and it was good for the pot.

Billy Baxter raised under the gun and was three-bet by John Centeno on the button. It was folded back to Baxter, who called.
Baxter drew two and Centeno drew one on the first draw. Baxter then check-called a bet from Centeno.
On the second draw, Baxter took another two off and Ceneto drew one. Baxter check-raised a bet from Ceneteno, who went right back over the top with a three-bet. Baxter called.
Both players stood pat on the end and Baxter check-folded facing a bet from Centeno after a bit of thought.

Strelitz drew three while Avivi drew two and Strelitz check-called a bet from Avivi.
On the second draw, Strelitz drew two while Avivi drew one and Strelitz check-called a second bey from Avivi.
The final draw saw Strelitz draw one while Avivi stood pat and Strelitz checked. Avivi bet which prompted Strelitz to raise and Avivi folded.

Joe McKeehen raised from the hijack and was three-bet by Brian Hastings in the big blid. McKeehen called.
Hastings drew one and McKeehen drew two on the first draw. McKeehen then called a bet from Hastings.
The same drawing and betting action occurred on the second draw and then Hastings stood pat while McKeehen drew one on the final round.
Hastings checked to McKeehen, who quickly tossed out a bet. Hastings thought it over, but eventually landed on a fold and McKeehen dragged the pot.
