Yesterday at the 2025 WSOP, Event #71: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw drew out a total of 122 entrants to play in this prestigious championship event. From that initial field, only 50 of them survived to bag up chips and will return today at 1 p.m. to continue play. With registration open through Level 11, time will tell just how many players come out to hunt for this title.

Leading the way are Jon Shoreman (360,000) and Oscar Johansson (336,000), each looking for their first WSOP bracelet. Others that bagged include WSOP bracelet winners Yueqi Zhu (323,000), John Monnette (282,000), Jeremy Ausmus (240,000), Yuri Dzivielevski (195,000), and Daniel Negreanu (182,000). Defending champion Phil Ivey has not entered the event, but with registration open into Day 2, there is a chance that he'll make his way in.
Play will start on Level 11 with blinds beginning at 2,000/4,000 with limits at 4,000/8,000. Registration will remain open until the beginning of Level 12, or roughly 2:15 p.m. After that, players will play through Level 18 with a dinner break at the conclusion of Level 15. Levels will shift from sixty to ninety minutes after the dinner break.

On the first hand of the day, Bariscan Betil raised on the button and Jonathan Krela three-bet in the big blind. Betil made it four bets, Krela five-bet, and Betil called.
Krela stood pat on all three draws, while Betil took one each time. Krela led out with a bet on each street and Betil called him down before Krela turned over 7x6x5x4x2x to win the pot.

Shaun Deeb opened and Pedro Bromfman defended his big blind. Deeb drew one and Bromfman drew three.
Bromfman check-called a bet and drew two while Deeb again drew one. Bromfman checked, Deeb bet and Bromfman check-raised.
Bromfman stood pat and Deeb drew one. Both players checked. Bromfman tabled 9x5x4x3x2x and Deeb mucked.

Dzivielevski drew one again, while Monnette stood pat and called a bet from Dzivielevski. Dzivielevski showed 8x7x6x3x2x and Monnette mucked.
