Kakani Hunts Value with His Ten

Bhargav Kakani raised from the cutoff and Scott Abrams defended his big blind.

Abrams took two and check-called a bet after Kakani took one.

The same drawing occurred on the second draw, and Abrams called a bet after a small tank.

Abrams still needed two on the final draw and Kakani still took one. Abrams checked for a third time to Kakani. who peeked his final card and tossed out a bet. Abrams announced call immediately as Kakani tabled 10x8x7x4x2x, which was good to scoop another pot as he pads his stack on the soft bubble.

Hui Gets Value from Boatman

Action folded around to Phillip Hui in the small blind, and he limped in. Barny Boatman checked his option.

On the 652 board, Hui bet 3,000 and Boatman called.

Both players checked the 3 turn, then Hui bet another 3,000 on the 6 river. Boatman thought for a while and then called. Hui flipped over the 95, and Boatman mucked.

Hui is a four-time bracelet winner, and he'll be one to watch moving forward in this event.

Pierre Dotson raised under the gun, Joshua Mullins three-bet from the button, and Dotson called.

Dotson took two and check-called a bet after Mullins took one.

Both took one on the second the draw and the action checked through.

Dotson was now pat and Mullins still needed one. Dotson immediately led and Mullins reluctantly called. He got the bad news immediately as Dotson tabled 7x6x4x3x2x for number two to drag a sizeable pot as he climbs out of the danger zone with the bubble looming.

Rubbathan drew two on the first and second draw while Comeskey stood pat.

On the third draw, Rubbathan stood pat and Comeskey thought a bit before breaking and drawing one.

Bennett completed first to act with a seven being the lowest up-card, and both Matuschek and Ishimoto called. Sandvik then raised from the bring-in, and all three opponents called.

The action checked to Sandvik on fourth who bet. Bennett called, Matuschek folded, and Ishimoto called.

The same action followed on fifth and sixth with Sandvik firing on both.

When checked to on seventh, Sandvik fired out a final bet, Bennett folded, and Ishimoto called. Sandvik revealed J65 in the hole for trip fives, while Ishimoto had queens in the hole for two pair, and a massive pot was shipped to Sandvik.

Nedelcu and Govert drew one and Luna drew two on the first draw. Luna then called a bet from Nedelcu.

On the second draw, Nedelcu drew one, Luna drew two, and Govert stood pat. Action then checked through.

The same drawing action occurred on the end and both players checked.

Nedelcu turned over 7x5x4x4x2x for a pair of fours, Govert tabled 7x7x6x3x2x for a pair of sevens, and Luna fanned out 8x6x5x4x3x for an eight-low to claim the pot and triple up.

On the AJA board, Negreanu bet the remainder of his chips after Sandvik checked to him. Sandvik thought for a long time before folding, and Negreanu was able to take the pot without being at risk.

Action checked through on the 9A6 flop and then Le announced a pot-sized bet of 44,500 on the 10 turn. Tayi shoved for 83,000 total and action folded back around to Le, who called all in for less.

Dotson Cracks Yoon's Aces

On the QJ5 flop, Yoon potted, Dotson raised, and Yoon called all in, as the slightly shorter stack, for his final 64,000.

Dotson had flopped two pair against the aces and flush draw of Yoon. The 4 turn gave Yoon a few additional outs but Dotson also picked up a flush draw. The river was the 6 and Dotson held on to eliminate Yoon in the early proceedings.
