Isaac Kempton
Isaac Kempton

Michael Wang opened to 400,000 from under the gun and Isaac Kempton potted to 1,440,000 from the cutoff. Wang moved all in and Kempton called with his remaining stack of roughly 500,000, putting himself at risk.

Isaac Kempton: KKJ9 All in
Michael Wang: AAK10

Kempton rivered the case king on the QA54K runout but it was no good as Wang had flopped top set to eliminate Kempton and extend his lead over the rest of the field.

Seidel Doubles Through Zhou

Level 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

After blinding down for a couple of orbits, a short-stacked Erik Seidel shoved for a bit over 400,000 from the button and was called by Quan Zhou in the big blind to be put at risk.

Erik Seidel: AJ72All in
Quan Zhou: QJ96

The board ran out 2A3102 — leaving Seidel best with a full house for the double up.

Foxen Doubles in Record Speed

Level 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen raised to 560,000 on the button and Erik Seidel called from the big blind. The flop came J43 and Foxen continued with a pot-sized bet of 1,360,000. Seidel quickly check-raised all in and Foxen instantly called off his stack of 1,895,000. The chips went in the middle faster than any hand that was played in the entire last level.

Alex Foxen: AJJ3All in
Erik Seidel: QQ43

Foxen flopped a set of jacks up against the two pair of Seidel. The 3 on the turn changed nothing as Foxen was holding the case three in his hand. The K hit the river and Foxen doubled up with the larger of the two full houses.

Updated Counts Table Two

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Isaac Kempton limped in and then called when Sean Rafael raised the pot to 360,000 from the big blind. The flop came QQ3 and Kempton check-folded to a bet worth 260,000.

Kempton then potted from the button and won the pot uncontested.

Rafael limped in the cutoff soon after and Michael Zulker checked. On the J109 flop, Zulker checked before folding to a bet worth 210,000 by Rafael.

Kempton made it 300,000 to go first to act soon after that and was called only by Michael Wang from the big blind. They checked the QJ5 flop and Wang potted the 2 turn for 780,000 to force out Kempton.

David Paredes

David Paredes raised the pot out of the small blind and was called by Quan Zhou in the big blind. With around 900,000 behind to the J64 flop, Paredes got it in and Zhou looked him up without too much hesitation.

Quan Zhou: KJ109

The 8 turn gave Zhou further outs and he hit one of them with the K river, sending Paredes out in 12th place.

To Pot Or Not to Pot

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Quan Zhou raised the cutoff to 420,000 and Simeon Tsonev in the big blind repotted to 1,320,000. Once it was back on Zhou, he said "I fold kings" and exposed the KK. "Good fold," Tsonev replied and exposed the AAJ.

Javier Francort then raised to 300,000 in the cutoff and Erik Seidel called in the big blind. Following a 764 flop, Seidel check-called for 400,000. Both checked the J turn and Seidel's bet of 700,000 on the K river won the pot uncontested.

Alex Foxen potted to 420,000 in the next hand. Tsonev repotted to 1,440,000 on the button and all players behind including Foxen folded.

Francort Makes a Tough Laydown Against Zhou

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Quan Zhou
Quan Zhou

Javier Francort raised to 300,000 from under the gun and was called by Quan Zhou in the big blind.

Zhou check-called a 300,000 bet from Francort on the AK2 flop and then check-raised a bet of 450,000 from Francort to 1,200,000 on the A turn. Francort called.

The 6 filled the board out and and Zhou wagered 2,500,000 — sending Francort deep into the tank.

"People don't usually like to bluff here..." Francort mused as he was contemplating his decision.

Francort eventually decided to fold and Zhou collected the large pot without showing.

Wang's Comeback Continues

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Michael Wang
Michael Wang

Melad Marji opened to 350,000 from the cutoff and Michael Wang defended from the big blind.

The flop came KQ7. Wang checked and Marji bet 270,000. Wang check-raised to 1,600,000 and Marji shoved. Wang, who had 355,000 and was covered, called and was at risk.

Michael Wang: AK93 All in
Melad Marji: AK75

Marji had the better made hand with kings and sevens but Wang had the nut-flush draw. The J10 runout brought in the nut-flush for Wang who secured yet another double up, bringing his stack above 4,000,000 after being down to 65,000 half a couple of hours earlier, worth just over half of a big blind at the time.

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
David Paredes
David Paredes

David Paredes raised for half of his short stack and was called by Alex Foxen, who then potted the 1065 flop. Paredes only had 385,000 behind and called all in.

David Paredes: AK75 All in
Alex Foxen: AQ43

Paredes was marginally ahead with a pair of fives while Foxen had a straight draw with one live card. The J turn and 10 river changed nothing and Paredes secured the urgently needed double.
