Pre-Dinner Boost for Zhou

Michael Rocco raised to 180,000 on the button and was called by Erik Nordstrand in the small blind as well as Quan Zhou in the big blind. Following the Q♣5♥3♦ flop, Nordstrand checked and Zhou asked for the size of the pot before making it 395,000 to go.

Rocco then raised it up to 800,000 and Nordstrand folded. Zhou checked the stack of Rocco, counted his own stack and then repotted to 3,020,000. Almost instantly, Rocco flung his cards into the muck.

Many smaller pots were traded on the table and Alex Foxen was the one to lose the most ground as of lately, as he dropped to around 20 big blinds. Jorryt van Hoof took a pot off Isaac Kempton and then limped into Javier Francort in a battle of the blinds.

They headed to the K♦8♥3♣ flop on which 125,000 each found their way into the middle of the table. No betting action followed on the 3♠ turn and 8♦ river, and Francort won the pot with the A♣9♠9♣7♥.

Isaac Kempton limped in from the hijack, Javier Francort limped behind from the small blind and Marcello Del Grosso checked from the big blind.

The flop came 10♣7♠K♥. Action checked around to Kempton who bet 150,000 and only Francort called.

Francort check-called a 640,000 bet from Kempton on the 4♣ turn before both players checked the 2♦ river. Kempton turned over A♠A♣7♦2♥ for two pair, sevens and twos, and Francort mucked.

In a three-way limped pot to the K♦Q♥6♠ flop, Quan Zhou checked from the small blind and Melad Marji in the big blinjd bet 60,000 at first. He then remembered that the blinds were gone up and made it 80,000 to go. Erik Nordstrand called on the button, as did Zhou.

They then checked the 6♥ on the turn before it checked to Nordstrand on the A♠ river. With a pot-sized bet of 560,000, Nordstrand shut down his two opponents.

With two players seeing a board of 3♦7♠7♦ and around 200,000 in the middle, Ben Lamb checked from the small blind and called an 80,000 bet from Sean Rafael in the big blind.

Both players checked the 5♣ turn leading to the A♥ river. Lamb bet 180,000 and Rafael snap-called.

Rafael quickly truned over J♣10♥3♣3♠ for a flopped full house. Lamb mucked his hand and Rafael took the pot.

The flop came K♠10♣2♦ and Foxen checked to Van Hoof, who bet enough to put Foxen all in for his remaining stack. Foxen quickly called and a showdown was held.

Michael Rocco raised to 150,000 in the hijack and Erik Nordstrand three-bet the pot to 540,000 in the cutoff. Simeon Tsonev in the big blind four-bet the pot to 1,800,000 and they all folded behind him.

Quan Zhou then opened to 210,000 in the cutoff for Melad Marji to call in the next seat. Zhou min-bet the A♥5♠5♦ flop for 60,000 and Marji called. Both checked the 8♦ turn and J♠ river for Zhou to expose the K♠8♠ only. Marji had that beat with the K♦K♣4♣3♠ and won the pot.

Stefan Lehner limped from the cutoff and Brandon Crawford did so from the button, Ben Lamb from the small blind called and Sean Rafael checked his option in the big blind.

The 9♥8♠3♣ flop was checked to Crawford and he bet the pot for 300,000. Lamb folded and Rafael check-raised the pot, forcing out Lehner. Crawford called all-in and that led to the following showdown.

During the previous break, Crawford had lamented that he was running so bad after losing multiple pots mostly without showdown to see his stack damaged. There would be no comeback for him, as the 9♠ turn and 7♥ river gave Rafael a full house. Crawford's run ended in 20th place for $54,777.
