Level 25

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has had a stellar 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and "Kid Poker" isn't slowing down. Negreanu just reached his fifth final table of the summer in Event #76: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet.

Negreanu entered the third and final day of the Mixed Big Bet event with 83 big blinds, good to be tied second in chips with Marco Johnson and within reach of chip leader Aaron Kupin. He held onto those chips throughout the first hour of play and now finds himself at the final table again second in chips.

Robert Mclaughlin's seventh-place elimination confirmed Negreanu's spot at the official final table as he chases an eighth bracelet.

The tournament drew 458 runners for a prize pool of $1,019,050. The eventual winner will receive $206,982, while each of the seven remaining players are guaranteed a payout of $22,311.

Madsen Takes from Betil

Level 25

No-Limit Hold'em

Marco Johnson won two pots by three-betting and getting his opponents to fold before Jeff Madsen raised to 90,000 in the cutoff and Bariscan Betil defended in the big blind.

Betil checked on the flop of 7410 and folded when faced with a bet from Madsen. As the hand played out, Johnson told the table he was missing the Main Event this year because the final table will conflict with his daughter's birthday.

Johnson Into The Chip Lead

Level 25

Big O

Aaron Kupin raised to 100,000 from under the gun, which saw Daniel Negreanu in the hijack, Marco Johnson in the small blind, and Bariscan Betil in the big blind all call.

The flop rolled out 46J, and action checked around to Negreanu, who bet 300,000, and only Betil folded.

On the turn 8, Johnson bet the pot of 1,340,000, which quickly folded out Kupin, and Negreanu went into the tank.

"I was going to do that," said Negreanu as he tossed his hand into the muck, ceding the pot over to Johnson.

Big O

"Twenty-thouzand, forty-thouzand are ze blinds," Daniel Negreanu said in his best Teddy "KGB" impression as the new level started.

Robert Mclaughlin raised to 120,000 from under the gun and Marco Johnson three-bet to 220,000 from the next seat. Mclaughlin called with just 60,000 behind and got it in as the flop landed 2Q10.

Marco Johnson: AKQ92

Mclaughlin had a gutshot against two pair, but the 2 turn gave Johnson a boat and Mclaughlin stood up in disgust as the 5 river confirmed his elimination in seventh place.
