Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Thank you for joining us as we kick off Event #76: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas. This one’s for the players who love a challenge, as we mix No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha over three action-packed days.

This three-day tournament begins at 2 p.m. local time. Late registration is available through the first 10 levels. Players are allowed up to two reentries.

Each player will start with a 35,000-chip stack. Today’s schedule includes 12 levels of play, with a 15-minute break every two hours.

Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. local time and will feature another 10 levels. The break structure remains the same, and a 60-minute dinner break is scheduled after Level 18 (around 7:30 p.m.)

The Day 3 restart time, where we’ll play down to a winner, is yet to be confirmed.

The defending champion is Wing Po Liu of Hong Kong, who triumphed over a 468-player field in 2024 to claim $209,942 and earn his second WSOP bracelet.

“While it was exciting in Europe,” Liu told PokerNews last year about his first bracelet win overseas, “in Vegas, it is really special. The field is bigger, and this is my first mixed game final table.”

This event has been especially kind to players from Hong Kong in recent years, with two of the last three champions coming from the region. Could we see another Hong Kong winner this year? Stick with us to find out.
