Jose Paz-Gutierrez opened to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by Ryan Hughes from the button. Brian Rast three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind and Hughes was the only caller.
Rast checked on the 9♥8♥3♠ flop, prompting Hughes to fire out 12,000, leaving around 18,000 behind. Rast slid a tower of T-5,000 chips and was snap-called.
Ryan Hughes: J♠10♦7♥6♦
Brain Rast: A♦K♥Q♣J♦
Rast's ace-high was ahead but Hughes had plenty of equity with his wrap.
The board bricked out for Hughes as it came 2♠A♣ and Rast's pair of aces took the pot.
