Griff Makes a Wheel to Survive

Level 17

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

With a little over 50,000 in the middle already, Jordan Griff was all-in for his final 42,000 from under the gun, at risk against Jake Schwartz in the big blind. On the final draw, Schwartz was pat and Griff took one.

Jordan Griff: 5x4x3x2x All in
Jake Schwartz: 8x7x5x3x2x

Picking up the action after the draw, James Obst checked and Zachary Reinbold bet 60,000. Obst check-raised with a stack of green chips and Reinbold went in the tank before calling off with his remaining stack.

Obst showed 10x10x10x9x2x for trips as Reinbold frustratingly showed AxAxJx7x7x to be sent to the rail.

Park Shows Wells a Flush

Level 17

No-Limit Hold'em

Robert Wells opened to 14,000 from under the gun and was called by Hye Park on the button and Jon Turner in the big blind.

On the 864 flop, the action checked to Park who bet 17,000. Turner quickly folded before Wells check-raised to 50,000, and Park called.

The turn brought the K as Wells slowed down with a check. Park bet 65,000 and Wells called.

On the board-pairing 4 river, Wells checked again to Park who took some time before he elected to check back.

Robert Wells: QQ
Hye Park: AJ

Park made the nut flush on the turn as he dragged a sizeable pot off the recent bracelet winner Wells.

Big Slick Holders Up

Level 18

No-Limit Hold'em

Paul Holder raised to 25,000 in the small blind and Chad Eveslage three-bet jammed in the big blind. Holder called off with a stack of 161,000.

Paul Holder: AK All in
Chad Eveslage: AQ

"Do you think you're going to win this one, Chad?" asked Shaun Deeb as the flop landed 462. "How about now?"

The board finished out 48 to confirm a double for Holder as Eveslage was left with around 40,000.

Eveslage then guessed the regional dialect of the dealer with some accuracy, noting that her accent sounded just like his friend's in western Kentucky. She said she was from the neighboring Tennessee, just a few hours away.
