Ben Mintz
Ben Mintz

Ben Mintz, aka "Mintzy," on Tuesday, took one of the dirtiest bad beats we've seen all summer at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

The Barstool Sports personality, thanks to a one-outer on the river, is out of Event #75: $1,000 Mini Main Event on Day 2. He earned a small cash but was devastated by the manner in which he exited the tournament.

Tomren Towers over the Table

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Shannon Lazorko was seen walking away from the table after being knocked out from the small blind by Christian Tomren to her direct left in the big blind. Luke Wasikowski was also caught up in the action from middle position and doubled up Tomren but his cards were already face down.

The cards were already on their backs and players were looking at a monotone 46K72 runout.

Nanos Ticking Away the Moments

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was picked up on the river, with a board that read 79K104. Tuan Nguyen had shoved his remaining 39,400 into a pot that consisted of 51,200. Dimitrios Nanos, the only other player with cards, was put deep into the tank.

Nguyen remained unmoving. His eyes, hidden by sunglasses, focused on the board and nothing else, as Nanos looked him up and down, removed then replaced his hood, and put his head in his hands. He repeated this process for an entire seven minutes (the length of the aptly named Time by Pink Floyd, for reference) before Orez Mokedi waved to the dealer, and signalled to his wrist. The dealer brought over the floor, and he let each passing second tick by, folding with just one left.

Some players at the table were visibly disappointed with the outcome.
