Panagopoulos Paid

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action was picked up on the river, with a dynamic board of 78664 showing. 57,000 chips were in the middle, and Clifton Temm was facing a huge decision: Ionannis Panagopoulos had put him all in for his tournament life. Temm went deep into the tank and stayed there for a good few minutes. Eventually, he made the call.

Panagopoulos flipped over 109 for a flopped straight that improved to a flush on the river. Temm mucked, letting his opponent know that he had folded pocket kings.

Maruna's Attempt to Bluff Fails

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

James Matz opened to 2,000 in hijack and got called by Michael Maruna in cutoff, leading them both to the flop.

The dealer flopped 5A6. Matz led with a 1,600 bet, which Maruna called once again. On the turn A, Matz check-called Maruna's bet of 2,100.

Finally, on the river 6, Matz took control once again and fired 5,000. Maruna thought a bit and mucked his hand face-up to show Q9 for a busted flush draw saying he tried to bluff earlier.
