The field has now reached 20 entries and a third table opened. Only one of the initial players was moved there in Dylan Weisman who faced all fresh faces. Jonas Kronwitter opened to 11,000 on the button and Dirk Gerritse called from the big blind, then check-folded the A♠Q♣8♣ flop when Kronwitter continued for 14,000.
"Am I the only one here without a hat?" Najeem Ajez joked as indeed everyone else had one. "I need one of these bucket hats with a different color," the Aussie added.
Jesse Lonis raised to 7,000 and received three callers to see the 10♣9♥4♠ on the flop. It was checked to the 9♣ turn on which Lonis bet 13,000 and earned calls from Martin Dam as well as Isaac Haxton. The Q♥ on the river was then checked and Lonis declared a full house before exposing the 9♠6♥4♥3♦.
"What a hand," Dam exclaimed.
Lonis replied, "I was getting bored, almost the end of Level 1. I figured it was a big buy-in and you might fold."
Ronald Keijzer made it 7,000 from under the gun with Robert Cowen calling from the hijack, Farid Jattin calling from the cutoff, Eelis Parssinen calling from the button, and Dylan Weisman calling from the small blind.
Five players saw the dealer spread out a flop of 4♦A♥Q♦, where everyone checked to see the 5♥ come on the turn. Weisman led out for 13,000, which Keijzer called. Jattin raised to 53,000 before Parssinen three-bet the pot to 224,000. Weisman and Keijzer quickly folded, but Jattin went into the tank. After burning through a time bank card, Jattin folded, awarding the pot to Parssinen.
Farid Jattin opened to 7,000 and called a pot-sized three-bet to 23,000 by Lou Garza ahead of the J♣7♣5♦ flop, on which Garza slowed down and checked. Jattin used the opportunity and made it 33,000 to go for Garza to call.
On the 8♠ turn, Garza checked again and Jattin increased his bet sizing to 66,000 in order to claim the pot uncontested.
On a flop of 8♥K♥2♣, Gruffudd Pugh-Jones was first to act from the small blind and checked. Lautaro Guerra, who was the initial raiser preflop, checked also before Jesse Lonis bet 12,000 from the button. Pugh-Jones and Guerra called.
Everyone checked the Q♦ turn for the K♣ to land on the river. Pugh-Jones let out for 25,000, which was enough to get both of his opponents to fold.
The table chat was guessing that there may be up to 100 entries in this tournament which allows for two reentries in the 12 levels of late registration, and there is still some way to go in order to reach said heights.
For the time being, the field has reached 13 entries with Lou Garza becoming the latest player to join the fray.
Farid Jattin raised it up to 7,000 on the button and Dylan Weisman in the big blind potted to 22,000 for Jattin to call. On the K♠10♦3♠ flop, Weisman check-called for 24,000 and then did so again for 38,000 on the 3♥ turn.
Jattin checked behind the 2♦ on the river and mucked when Weisman tabled his A♥K♦J♦9♥ to scoop the pot.
