Level 9 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jan-Peter Jachtmann

Noah Schwartz was all-in for 385,000 with the AKK2 from the cutoff and had a mountain to climb against Jan-Peter Jachtmann with the AA95. The 10742K runout delivered the set of kings on the river to leave Jachtmann on a mere 190,000.

Soon after, Jachtmann was spotted on his way out of the tournament with plenty of frustration. "It was against him again, I flopped the straight and he hit running spades," the German said.

Bleznick Sent to the Rail

Level 9 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Arthur Morris limped under the gun. Two to his left, Gruffudd Pugh-Jones limped as well. That was met by a raise to 70,000 by Jared Bleznick. Morris folded, but Pugh-Jones responded by repotting to 235,000. Bleznick looked at his stack, which didn't have many chips behind, and asked, "Can I call?" He kept repeating that question as he put the chips to make the call.

The flop came J107 and Bleznick held out his remaining chips, waiting to call Pugh-Jones bet. Pugh Jones laughed and checked, and instantly called when Bleznick placed his chips into the pot.

Jared Bleznick: AJ74 All in
Gruffudd Pugh-Jones: KKQ5

The turn came the 3, and the river 9 gave Pugh-Jones the pot, and sent Bleznick looking to borrow chips and/or cash from players at the tables around him so he could reenter the event.

On a flop of K107, the last 50,000 by Gabriel Andrade went into the middle with the AA96. Noah Fischer called with the KQJ9 for top pair and a wrap. The 7 turn brought another gutshot on top but instead, Fischer spiked the K on the river for the knockout.

One table over, Santhosh Suvarna doubled with J1087 against the AQQ8 of Isaac Haxton when he flopped two pair.

Gruffudd Pugh-Jones was already awaiting his fate when he was at risk by the time the board showed Q848. He was up against Jared Bleznick and Santhosh Suvarna, who then checked the 4 on the river.

Suvarna exposed the J1077 while Bleznick had missed a straight holding the J1095. Pugh-Jones earned the triple-up with KK85 and was then surprised to find out he had leaped back above the starting stack.

With the flop showing Q76, Bryce Yockey checked in the small blind and Jesse Lonis bet 130,000 in the big blind. Alex Foxen on the button jammed his shorter stack around half the starting stack and Yockey then moved all in over the top for 855,000 to get called by Lonis.

Alex Foxen: KK65
Bryce Yockey: KQJ2 All in
Jesse Lonis: A554

Lonis had a lot of equity to knock out two players but instead bricked the 10 turn and 10 river. Foxen, who was ready to leave, tripled up while Yockey won the massive side pot against Lonis.

Hennigan Wins with Check Raise

Level 9 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Jonas Kronwitter limped under the gun, and John Hennigan limped behind him. Seth Davies then made it 75,000 next to act. Both Kronwitter and Hennigan called.

The board came 994, and action checked to Davies. He bet 65,000. Kronwitter called, and Hennigan check-raised to 175,000, and both players folded.

Hennigan is an old-school legend of the game with seven bracelets, so it will be interesting to see how he fares in the first ever $100,000 PLO event at the WSOP.

Paul Volpe: KK44 All in
Jeremy Ausmus: J1076

Volpe's kings were ahead until the 8J10 flop came out, giving Ausmus two pair. Volpe did have a flush draw, but the 2 turn and 10 river only improved Ausmus to a boat. Volpe was out and Ausmus added some chips to his stack.
