Jonathan Krela raised to 8,000 on the button and Matthew Schreiber called in the big blind.
Schreiber drew one while Krela stood poat. Schreiber then led out for 10,000 and Krela called.
Schreiber showed a 10-9, but Krela turned over a 10-8 to win the pot.
"That sizing saved you," tablemate Mike Leah said to Schreiber.
"I saved 8,000," Schreiber replied.
