Phil Hellmuth predicted "fake news" Doug Polk would call him out for going back on his original world to skip the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. It turns ou, he was right.
Polk released a YouTube video on Friday in which he bashed the Poker Hall of Famer for deleting a fan poll. Hellmuth said in February that he wouldn't play this year's Main Event, a tournament he won in 1989, due to the grueling structure not being conducive to older poker players.

Adam Friedman bet 2,500 from the button on a flop of 9♥K♥5♠ and Geoffrey Tomes called in the small blind, as did Nadim Medlege in the cutoff.
The turn was the 2♣ and Friedman potted to 10,500. Tomes folded, but Medlege called to see the 3♥ river. Medlege then moved all in and Friedman, with around 6,000 remaining, snap-folded.
Medlege showed A♥6♠3♦2♥2♦ as he took the pot. "Would you call on the turn?" Medlege asked.
"Of course, I had a set," Friedman replied.
"No, would you have called with my hand?" Medlege added.
"I would've check-raised all in," Friedman answered.
