Upreti's Jacks Hold to Bust Thomas

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Kanishka Upreti made it 10,000 from under the gun and Aaron Thomas jammed for 106,000 out of the small blind. Upreti made the call to put Thomas at risk.

Aaron Thomas: AQ All in
Kanishka Upreti: JJ

Thomas was already out of his seat heading to the 656 flop. The 10 fell on the turn, and Thomas needed an ace or queen on the river to survive. The river was the 9, and all of Thomas' chips headed over to Upreti.

Neugebauer Applies Pressure, Pardy Bows Out

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

With the board showing 4Q3KQ and around 280,000 in the pot, Max Neugebauer and Ivan Poroliev were locked in a heads-up battle. Neugebauer led out for 75,000 as the first to act, putting the pressure on Poroliev, who took his time to consider the spot.

After a long tank, Poroliev eventually released his hand, conceding the pot to Neugebauer, who quietly added a healthy boost to his stack.

Just a few hands later, Jonathan Pardy hit the rail from the same table.

David Kaufmann raised in middle position to 10,000, Jamin Stokes three-bet on the button to 25,000, Kaufmann four-bet to 45,000, Stokes five-bet shoved for 170,000, and Kaufmann snap-called.

Jamin Stokes: QQ All in
David Kaufmann: AA

Great flop for both players as Stokes flopped and set and Kaufmann the nut flush draw on 2Q3, the 7 turn kept Stokes in the lead, but the 6 on the river eliminated him from the tournament.

Chung Finds the Right Call to KO Lheureux

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Luke Chung opened to 10,000 from the button and Gaetan Lheureux defended from the big blind.

The flop came 625 and Lheureux check-called a 13,000 continuation bet from Chung.

Lheureux checked the Q turn and Chung bet 30,000. Lheureux shoved for 103,000 and Chung called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Gaetan Lheureux: A5 All in
Luke Chung: 88

Lheureux had a pair of fives and was drawing to the nut-flush while Chung was ahead with a pair of eights. The 10 river changed nothing for either player and Lheureux was sent to the rail while Chung claimed the last of his chips.

Doug Polk
Doug Polk

In a preflop confrontation, Doug Polk was all in for 243,000 from the cutoff and up against Luke Chung who covered him from the hijack.

Doug Polk: AA All in
Luke Chung: KK

Polk was a massive favorite to double up with pocket aces but was left drawing to two outs after the 6K3 flop gave Chung a set of kings. Polk couldn't make a set of his own as the rest of the board ran out 710 and was eliminated in brutal fashion while Chung was pushed another sizable pot.

Setrakian's Main Event Ends to Quads

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Shant Setrakian was all in for his final 98,000 from middle position and at risk against Soojo Kim from the button.

Shant Setrakian: AQ All in
Soojo Kim: 99

It was a coinflip scenario for a brief amount of time before the Q99 flop gave Kim quad nines. Setrakian was drawing to running queens but he could not find his ladies as the board ran out 58 and Setrakian was eliminated in brutal fashion as the bubble draws one step closer.

"We did our part. Now we just need every other table to bust one person and we'll be there," joked a tablemate.

Lee Falls to Nguyen

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Thi Xoa Nguyen
Thi Xoa Nguyen

JJ Liu opened to 12,000 from early position and Thi Xoa Nguyen called from middle position. Ricky Lee was in the hijack and bumped it up to 38,000, which both Liu and Nguyen called.

The flop came 3Q9 and when the action checked to Lee, he shoved for 99,000. Liu folded, but Nguyen called.

Ricky Lee: AK All in
Thi Xoa Nguyen: J9

Nguyen had flopped a pair and turned trips with the 9, which left Lee drawing dead. A meaningless 3 filled out the board, and Lee made his way to the exit empty-handed.
