Lafaye's Shove on the River is Good
Level 11
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Glenn Lafaye raised from under the gun to 4,500, Fiodor Lavagetto called from early position, and Jefferson Montejo called from the big blind. The flop was K♣6♠10♠, and Lafaye bet out 4,000, after Montejo checked. Lavagetto made the call, while Montejo folded.
On the turn 8♣, Lavagetto checked again, and Lafaye bet again for 15,500. This time, Lavagetto took a while to think before making the call.
The river J♣ could have completed a flush or a straight draw, but that did not stop Lafaye from moving all in for 30,000 after Lavagetto checked. Lavagetto let it go quickly, and Lafaye scooped a nice pot.
