Drumond Hits Trips to Double

Pawel Brzeski opened to 600,000 from the cutoff before Breno Drumond chose to go all-in from the big blind for 6,275,000. Brzeski did not waste much time as he put in the call to put Drumond at risk.

Brzeski held the edge going into the runout, but the flop was not compliant with his aspirations as it came 6♠10♣10♥ to give Drumond trips.

The turn was a sweat as it came the 9♣ to give Brzeski a flush draw, but the 3♠ river completed the board as the Brazilian supporters erupted in support of Drumond.

The flop came 9♦5♠9♥ and both players checked to the 9♠ on the turn. Katz then bet out 575,000, which was called by Drumond.

After the 3♠ on the river, Katz sized down to 250,000, which induced a raise from Drumond to 2,275,000. Katz wasted no time and flicked in a call and tabled 8♠8♦ for a full house, nines full of eights, and Drumond quickly mucked, as Katz took the sizable pot.

Brzeski checked the flop of 9♥3♠7♣ before Baek opted to bet 450,000. Brzeski called to send them to a turn.

The A♠ turn was met with a check from Brzeski. Baek continued to apply pressure and bet 1,200,000 on the turn. Brzeski was undeterred and made the call.

Brzeski chose to bet on the 9♦ river to the tune of 450,000, which sent Baek into the tank. Baek pondered before he decided on a call.

Brzeski showed A♣7♥ for two pair. Baek did not show as Brzeski dragged in the healthy pot.

Action folded to Razvan Belea in the small blind who limped in, and then called the raise of 550,000 from Preston McEwen in the big blind.

After the 7♣6♥9♣ flop, Belea check-called a bet of 420,000 from McEwen.

The turn brought the 9♠ and Belea elected to lead out for a bet of 500,000, which McEwen called.

Once the river brought the Q♥, Belea took his time before moving all in for McEwen's stack of 2,365,000. McEwen quickly made the call and tabled 9♥4♣ for trip nines. Belea shook his head as he tossed Q♠10♥ in the muck, and McEwen scooped the massive pot as he doubled up.

Manole's spot ahead was not meant to last long, however, as the A♥ turn vaulted Molenaar into the lead.

The 10♦ river was a brick that sent Manole out in ninth place.

Manole earned $37,860 for his finish.

Razvan Belea opened the hand with a raise from under the gun for 320,000. It folded to Michel Molenaar in the cutoff, who called. Jaehoon Baek came along from the big blind to take to the flop three-handed.

Both Baek and Belea checked the 9♠9♥3♦ flop, which led to a bet of 400,000 from Molenaar. Baek called, and Belea opted to get out of the hand with a fold.

Both players checked the 3♠ turn, which brought the 7♣ river.

Baek staged a big bet and announced 1,800,000 as he slid out his chips. Molenaar tanked while he thought about his decision. Eventually, Molenaar chose to call.

Baek showed 7♥7♠ for a rivered full house. Molenaar folded without showing.

Simon Lindell was getting low and decided it was time to take a stand when he jammed from middle position for 860,000. Lindell was called by both blinds as Michel Molenaar called from the small blind, and Breno Drumond called from the big blind to put Lindell at risk while they played for a potential side pot.

Both Molenaar and Drumond checked the 6♦4♠Q♣ flop.

Molenaar opted to bet 480,000 on the 2♠ turn, which elicited a quick fold from Drumond to send Molenaar and Lindell to a showdown.
