Mieda Leaks to Fawcett

Level 43 : 2,000,000/4,000,000, 4,000,000 ante

Justin Fawcett completed the bet from the small blind. Riku Mieda in the big blind checked.

The flop hit 9A3, and Fawcett bet 3,000. Mieda raised to 6,500,000 chips. Fawcett quickly called.

The pair checked down through a river-turn of 105.

Fawcett showed Q9 for a pair of nines to claim the pot.

Eric Dillon Eliminated in 9th Place ($35,610)

Level 43 : 2,000,000/4,000,000, 4,000,000 ante
Eric Dillon
Eric Dillon

Having been left short following a cooler in the previous hand, Eric Dillon shoved the 6,500,000 he had left from the cutoff. Thai Dinh reshoved from the small blind for 14,500,000, putting Blake Napierala in a huge spot. He asked for a count, played with his chips and counted them out for a while, before eventually putting in the call.

Eric Dillon: 44 All in
Thai Dinh: 88 All in
Blake Napierala: 77

It was pocket pair over pocket pair over pocket pair, and that was just the beginning. An eight in the window improved Dinh, but the full 1078 flop revealed that Dinh had in fact set over set his opponent. It didn't stop there though, as Dillon, too, was offered hope to a one-outer when the 4 turn fell, prompting sickened noises from around the table. Dinh managed to avoid running into quads on the 6 river, to win a huge pot, and send the Jaka student away in a huge cooler, as well as diminishing Napierala's stack.

Fawcett Takes Biggest Pot of Tournament

Level 43 : 2,000,000/4,000,000, 4,000,000 ante

Justin Fawcett raised to 5,000,000 in middle position. Eric Dillon three-bet the pot to 14,000,000 from the small blind. Fawcett made the call.

After the flop hit A3Q, Dillon led out with a bet of 9,000,000. Fawcett called.

The board paired on the turn with the A, prompting a check from Dillon. Fawcett bet 17,000,000 chips and Dillon called.

When the river came 4 Dillon moved first, pushing all in with a covering stack of 26,500,000.

Fawcett thought about it for a bit, then made the call.

He showed a full house with QQ. Dillon tabled AJ for trip aces.

Fawcett said his hesitation in making the final call was due to his being knocked out of an earlier WSOP event boat-over-boat.

Keegan Ripp Eliminated in 10th Place ($28,020)

Level 42 : 1,500,000/3,000,000, 3,000,000 ante
Keegan Ripp
Keegan Ripp

On the first hand off the deck at the unofficial final table, Keegan Ripp went all in from under the gun for his last 3,000,000, which was barely more than the big blind. He was called by Eric Dillon in the small blind and Delano Jackson in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a Q6K flop, Dillon checked, Jackson bet 3,000,000, and Dillon called.

The turn card was the 6. Dillon checked again, this time Jackson bet 7,000,000. Dillon folded, and Ripp exclaimed, " I need a Jack".

Keegan Ripp: 109 All in
Delano Jackson: K9

The river card was not a Jack but rather the 5, sending Ripp to the payout desk.

Colin Downie

Colin Downie open-shoved the cutoff for his remaining 15,000,000. Riku Mieda raised it up to 30,000,000 from the button, and everyone else got out of the way.

Colin Downie: A8 All in
Riku Mieda: QQ

Mieda's rail was calling for a queen the whole way. It wouldn't come, but the 29966 runout was good enough to secure the elimination.
