Deak's Lead Grows Huge

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Ferenc Deak
Ferenc Deak

Ferenc Deak raised to 3,000,000 in the cutoff, and Quan Tran defended his big blind. Tran check-called Deak's bet of 7,800,000 on the 108K flop, but he check-folded once Deak put him all-in for 15,000,000 on the 2 turn.

A couple of hands later, Paulo Drummond limped in from the small blind, and Deak raised to the maximum of 3,600,000 in the big blind. Drummond instantly called, after which the 852 flop checked through.

Drummond threw in a pot-sized bet of 8,400,000 on the 7 turn, which Deak called. Drummond upped the ante to 19,000,000 on the 9 river before Deak shoved on him.

Drummond spent some time in the tank, repeatedly looking at his cards. Eventually, he decided to fold as he left himself just over 20 big blinds.

Lukas Hafner made it 3,600,000 on the button. Carlos De Lima three-bet his big blind to 11,400,000, and Hafner pushed all in for 14,600,000 after some thought.

De Lima had Hafner slightly covered and called to put Hafner at risk.

Lukas Hafner: A1065 All in
Carlos De Lima: AKJ8

De Lima flopped two pair on 77K. The 9 turn brought Hafner some outs, but the 5 river was not enough to prevent his elimination in sixth place.

Big Pot for Deak

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Ferenc Deak
Ferenc Deak

Carlos De Lima opened from under the gun to 3,500,000, and Ferenc Deak in the big blind responded with a three-bet to 11,000,000. De Lima made the call.

On the 1099 flop, Deak continued for 2,500,000, and De Lima called.

Deak fired another bet of 3,800,000 on the J turn, and De Lima called once again.

Both players checked the 6 river, and Deak tabled AKQ3 for a straight, which seemed enough for De Lima as his cards found the muck.

Quan Tran opened to 2,500,000 under the gun. It folded to Sean Chen in the big blind, who called. Chen then led all in for 6,500,000 on the 6J3 flop, and Tran snapped him off.

Tran Doubles Through Deak

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Quan Tran kicked things off in the cutoff and pot-raised to 3,500,000, leaving himself just 500,000 behind. Action folded to Ferenc Deak in the big blind, who raised, and Tran was all in.

Quan Tran: AA75All in
Ferenc Deak: QQ83

The flop came down 346, improving no hands, and Tran was still ahead with his pair of aces. But the 2 turn meant drawing dead for Deak as Tran had completed his straight. The J river was just to complete the board, and Tran doubled up to stay alive in the tournament.

Christoph Milbradt Eliminated in 8th Place ($42,580)

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Christoph Milbradt
Christoph Milbradt

Christoph Milbradt raised to 3,500,000 under the gun. Carlos De Lima flat-called in the small blind, and the two players saw a flop of Q9J. De Lima led out for an all-in bet, prompting Milbradt to go into the tank.

After a couple of minutes, the clock was called on Milbradt. Near the end of his countdown, he called his 5,000,000 remaining chips off to put himself at risk.

Christoph Milbradt: AA74 All in
Carlos De Lima: QJ105

De Lima had outflopped the aces of Milbradt. The Q turn upgraded the Brazilian to a full house, and the 9 river did not bring an ace to set Milbradt's elimination in stone.
