Davis Modans raised to 2,800,000 under the gun. Dominik Paus called in the big blind, leaving only 200,000 behind. The flop was dealt 2♣K♦J♥, on which Paus committed his final chips.

Modans had flopped two pair against the one pair of Paus. Paus made a lesser two pair on the 4♣ turn for some outs, but the 3♦ river changed nothing, sending Paus to the rail in 12th.
After winning a pot for around 10,000,000 against Quan Tran, Ferenc Deak raised to 2,100,000 from under the gun. The action folded all the way to Carlos De Lima in the big blind who opted to defend it.
They both checked through the 9♠6♥8♥ flop and the 7♥ on the turn to the 8♦ on the river. De Lima bet 3,500,000 for Deak to call. De Lima tabled the A♠4♣3♣3♥ for Deak to show the A♣J♣10♥8♣ for the straight to get him to almost 50 million in chips.
