William Titcomb Eliminated in 11th Place ($26,210)

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
William Titcomb
William Titcomb

Quan Tran opened the action from early position with a raise to 2,500,000, and William Titcomb called on the button. Ferenc Deak then raised pot to 10,400,000 from the big blind. That got Tran to fold, but Titcomb responded by shoving all in. Deak quickly called, and the cards went on their backs.

Ferenc Deak: AK93

Titcomb had plenty of connectivity, but Deak’s ace-king and suited diamonds gave him plenty of equity. The board ran out 975810, giving Titcomb a straight, but it wasn’t enough. Deak made the nut flush and scooped the pot, sending Titcomb to the rail.

Deak Closing in on 50 Million

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

After winning a pot for around 10,000,000 against Quan Tran, Ferenc Deak raised to 2,100,000 from under the gun. The action folded all the way to Carlos De Lima in the big blind who opted to defend it.

They both checked through the 968 flop and the 7 on the turn to the 8 on the river. De Lima bet 3,500,000 for Deak to call. De Lima tabled the A433 for Deak to show the AJ108 for the straight to get him to almost 50 million in chips.
