Maor slowed down on the 6♥ river before Roberts chose to bet 10,000. Maor gave it some thought before he called. Roberts showed A♦10♦. The middle pair was good as Maor threw his hand into the muck.

Jeffrey Hong opened to 1,500 from the hijack, and Manuel Ruivo made the call on his left. Benjamin McCoy then three-bet to 6,000 on the button before James Tsou four-bet to 17,500 in the small blind.

Hong and Ruivo got out of the way, and McCoy moved all in for 28,900. Tsou called instantly, and the cards were turned up.

The Pittsburgh poker player had over 140 big blinds at the first break on Tuesday afternoon. He's no stranger to spinning up a stack in the $10,000 buy-in World Championship event, and he's doing it the same way he's done it in the past — playing any two cards aggressively.

Stephen Song raised to 1,100 from early position and was called by Tamer Kamel in middle position, Vito Branciforte in the cutoff, and Paulino Dias on the button.

The dealer fanned a 2♦4♣7♣ flop. Action checked to Branciforte, who bet 3,000. Dias folded, and Song then raised to 8,500. Kamel folded, and Branciforte called.

Both players checked the 8♥ turn and 9♠ river. Song tabled 7♥7♠, good for a set of sevens and the winning hand.

The action picked up on the board of 3♠9♦Q♣A♣ with approximately over 8,000 already in the middle.

Aaron Mermelstein checked from early position before James Rice bet 3,500 from the hijack. Masahiro Oochi chose to raise to 10,000 in response.

Mermelstein opted to jam for roughly 48,000 when it got back to him. Rice did not take long to fold, but Oochi took some time to make his decision. Oochi opted to call and put himself at risk for 46,700.

Both players showed two pair, but it was Oochi with the better of it. The 7♥ river did not change either player's holding to award Oochi the double and leave Mermelstein hanging by a thread.

Three-way action tot he 9♣4♣2♦ flop saw a trio of checks, and the Q♠ turn hit the table.

Michael Lofgren checked in the small blind, as did Will Berry in the hijack. Bryan Rosen fire a bet of 2,000 on the button, and both players made the call.

Lofgren checked again after seeing the 5♠ river, and Berry slid out a single 5,000 chip. Rosen got out of the way before Lofgren check-raised to 15,000.

After taking some time, Berry tossed his cards to the dealer and Lofgren raked in the pot.

Abdelhakim Zoufri opened with a raise to 1,000 from the hijack before Joshua Terebelo raised to 3,500 from the button. Zoufri came along with a call as they went to a flop heads-up.

Zoufri check called the Q♥5♥7♥ flop after Terebelo fired 2,000.

The 5♠ turn was checked by Zoufri before Terebelo fired 10,000. Zoufri was undeterred by the larger bet and called.

Zoufri deferred to Terebelo again on the K♥ river. Terebelo loaded up and fired 15,000. Zoufri did not think long before he folded.
