Brooks Among Leaders

Level 10 : Limits 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Micah Brooks raised in middle position, and received three callers. Bari Sklar in the cutoff, Alex Livingston on the button, and Dylan Lambe in the big blind all came along to the 523 flop, where Brooks placed a continuation-bet.

Sklar and Lambe came along to the 8 turn, while Livingston was the only player who folded. Lambe checked over to Brooks again, who fired once more. Sklar still called before Lambe added his cards to the muck.

Sklar called one more time on the 8 river, but Brooks had bet the wheel with A542, and raked in the entire pot when Sklar smiled as he added his cards to the muck.

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu raised from under the gun and picked up four callers in Steve Chanthabouasy in the cutoff, Jesse Lonis on the button, Gary Benson in the small blind, and Yehuda Buchalter in the big blind.

The turn came the J and Benson led out. Buchalter, Negreanu, and Chanthabouasy called.

The action checked to Chanthabouasy on the 8 river and he decided to bet. Only Benson and Buchalter called.

Chanthabouasy revealed KQ23 for a queen-high flush to win the high, and Negreanu flipped over A1063 to win the low.

Marks' Stellar Day Continues as He Wheels Out Funkhouser

Level 9 : Limits 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Austin Marks
Austin Marks

Austin Marks had raised under the gun when David Funkhouser three-bet all in with an exact raise. Justin Saliba called in the cutoff, as did Naoya Kihara in the big blind. Marks tossed in calling chips as well, and the 4210 flop was fanned.

Kihara checked to Marks, who bet out. Saliba called before Kihara folded, after which Marks put in another bet on the 3 turn. Saliba weighed his options before calling to the 9 river, where he eventually folded to another bet.

Marks showed AQ53 for the wheel, and Funkhouser only briefly showed his cards before they were added to the muck.

Saliba Ends Nakache's Tournament

Level 9 : Limits 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Elie Nakache raised from the cutoff and Justin Saliba three-bet from the button. After the blinds folded, Nakache called.

Nakache checked the K78 flop and Saliba bet, Nakache raised all in for 3,500, and Saliba snap-called.

Justin Saliba: KJ32

Saliba had top pair, but Nakache had a lot of outs with two cards to come. The rest of the board came A3, and Saliba's pair of kings was enough to send Nakache to the rail.
