Event #91: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha
Day 1 Completed
Play has wrapped in Day 1 of Event #91: $1,500 Six-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha, and it was an active one at the Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas, with the three-day event drawing a whopping 1,304 entrants to generate a prize pool of $1,837,260.
There are 103 players remaining, all hoping to lay claim to a World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet and the winner's share of $280,214.
Nacho Barbero, who won a bracelet three years ago, ended on top of a star-studded field, bagging 1,382,000 chips at the end of the evening. Narcis Nedelcu, who won his first bracelet earlier in the series, is on Barbero's heels with 1,290,000.

A host of well-known stars popped into the tournament after busting out of the main event, and most of them busted out of this one as well. Erik Seidel managed to stay alive, bagging 242,000 chips.
It looked like Martin Kabrhel and Daniel Negreanu would surely bag, but they were knocked out on the last hand played at their respective tables.
Negreanu whipped out his camera to document his demise, as he guessed right that he was nearly drawing dead, yet made the set-under-set call anyway.
Phil Hellmuth, Erik Lindgren, Brian Rast, Ryan Riess and Josh Arieh were among the many who were eliminated earlier in the day.
It took eight hands of hand-for-hand play to eliminate two players and burst the bubble. Through seven hands, just one of the nine all-ins failed to survive.
Finally, Laura Born and Tolga Demirel busted at the same time and split a minimum payout.
DanSindelar was one of the bubble survivors, having flopped quads to stay in for a payday.
Due to the lengthy bubble-bursting process, Day 2 will commence on Level 16, featuring blinds of 3,000/6,000 and a big blind ante of 6,000.
Play restarts at noon local time, Friday, July 11. The schedule calls for the field to play down to five players, through 60-minute levels, with breaks after every two levels.

After a three-man limp to the flop of 6♥A♥10♣ Daniel Negreanu bet 15,000 chips on the button. Andreas Zampas check-raised to 85,000 from the big blind.
Khaled Mahmoud called as did Daniel Negreanu.
The turn came 2♣. Zampas bet 280,000. Mahmoud thought about it for a while before folding.
Negreanu grabbed his camera and began recording for his sites. He said he knew he was drawing almost dead, but there were too many chips in the pot to fold, so he called all in.
Daniel Negreanu: K♠10♠10♦2♠
Andreas Zampas: A♦A♠Q♠7♥
As he figured, Negreanu was not holding the top set. It only got worse for him on the river, as the A♣ gave Zampas a four-of-a-kind winner, sending Negreanu to the rail as the final elimination of the day.
