In the 906th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway, Kyna England, and Mike Holtz are back at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas to discuss the latest news and highlights from the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), including Daniel Negreanu suggesting that poker players shouldn't hesitate to call the clock on other slow-acting players.

Other stories include Will Kassouf being back in the poker spotlight, for better or worse, as well as how the PokerNews Podcast crew did in the 2025 WSOP Main Event. Toby Lewis raised under the gun, and Nikolay Fal defended his big blind. Fal led out with a bet on the 2♠Q♦9♥ flop, and Lewis raised. Fal called to the 4♦ turn, which checked through to the 9♠ river.

Fal fired another bet, and Lewis spent some minutes in the tank before calling off. Fal could only show king-high with K♥J♦8♣5♥, leaving Lewis to take the pot with A♣K♠J♣4♠ for bottom pair.

The next hand, Fal and Lewis were in a blind-on-blind pot on the K♣A♠Q♦ flop. Fal check-called Lewis' bet before check-raising his neighbor on the 9♦ turn.

Lewis called to the J♥ river. Fal bet, causing Lewis to shake his head. After some thinking time, Lewis let his hand go as he forfeited the pot to Fal.

Prociak proceeded to call bets from Suzuki on every street and Suzuki tabled his hole cards for a seven.

Prociak couldn't beat it and mucked — sending the sizable pot Suzuki's way to pull him into the lead.

Prociak bet, and Lake raised all in. Prociak called, revealing the players' cards.

David Prociak: J♣8♦4♦3♦

Lake had scoop and chop outs against the trips of Prociak, and he hit on the 5♠ river, making him higher trips to be awarded the full pot.

Both players drew two on the first draw and then Lopez check-called a bet from Fujimoto.

On the second draw, Lopez drew two again and Fujimoto drew one. Lopez again check-called a bet.

Both players drew one on the end and Lopez check-folded facing a final bet from Fujimoto.

Ryan Miller raised his button, and Eddie Blumenthal three-bet from the small blind. Miller called and drew two cards after Blumenthal had drawn one. Blumenthal bet, Miller called, and each player took one card on the second draw.

Blumenthal kept betting, and Miller tossed in another call. Both players stood pat on the final draw, checking it to showdown after. Blumenthal tabled 9x6x4x3x2x for the second-best nine, but Miller had an eight-low with 8x7x6x4x3x to take the pot.

The next hand, Blumenthal committed his 200,000 remaining chips from the button, being looked up by David Prociak in the small blind.

They both took one card on the first draw, and did the same on the second draw. The third draw saw Prociak stand pat, prompting Blumenthal to toss one more card.

Blumenthal paired up with another 6x, spelling the end of his tournament run.
