Alioto Has Better Pair Against Foxen

Piero Alioto bet before Foxen check-raised to 6,500. Alioto took a moment before he called.

The 6♣ turn saw a bet of 7,500 from Foxen, which led to a call from Alioto.

Foxen fired for 5,200 on the 4♠ river. Alioto did not take long to call, as they went to a showdown.

Foxen showed A♣Q♥ for top pair, but Alioto held a bigger pair as he revealed K♠K♣.

The two players checked the 10♦ turn and A♣ river. Lee had fourth pair with 9♠7♠ but Gathy had Q♣7♦ for fourth pair with a better kicker to take the pot.

After a raise in the hijack to 1,200, and a call on the button by Alex Theologis, Dario Sammartino elected to three-bet to 6,000 from the big blind. The original raiser folded, but Theologis called again.

Sammartino continued with a bet of 7,500 on the 4♣7♥3♥ flop, to which Theologis responded by moving all in for roughly 26,000. Sammartino snap-called and the players revealed their cards.

Pochat Wins Without Showdown; Exits Shortly After

Manuel Pochat began the hand with a raise to 1,600 from the cutoff. Vitalijs Zavorotnijs called from the big blind.

Zavorotnijs checked the 9♣K♣7♥ flop before Pochat bet 2,200. Zavorotnijs called the bet to head to a turn.

Both players opted to check the 6♦ turn, which prompted the 8♥ river.

Zavorotnijs chose to bet on the river to the tune of 5,600 before Pochat raised to 15,000. Zavorotnijs gave it some thought before he folded to award Pochat the pot.

Despite winning the pot, Pochat exited the tournament shortly after.

Jack Corrigan opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and Christian Roberts called from the button. Daniel Vicente three-bet to 8,600 from the big blind and only Corrigan called.

The flop came 6♠8♥7♥. Vicente bet 10,000, Corrigan shoved for 32,600 and Vicente snap-called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Vicente had the best made hand with ace-king high but Corrigan had plenty of outs with the nut-flush draw and a gutshot straight draw. Vicente failed to improve as the rest of the board ran out 7♠7♦ and was sent to the rail while Vicente took down a nice pot.

Igor Yaroshevskyy raised to 1,600 from the cutoff, and Jonathan Azoulay elected to three-bet to 4,000 on the button. The action folded back to Yaroshevskyy, who called.

Both players opted to check on the J♦A♣9♠ flop, and the dealer added the 8♦ to the board.

Yaroshevskyy took over the betting lead, putting out a bet of 7,500, which Azoulay called.

The river brought the 2♥ prompting Yaroshevskyy to bet again, this time for 20,000. Azoulay then looked at his opponents' stack up and down, before moving all in.

Yaroshevskyy snap-called, tabling 9♣9♥ for a set. Azoulay mucked his cards, and after receiving an official count of his opponents stack, paid him 58,000.
