Quan Zhou was one of the shortest stacks coming into the day and within the first two orbits, he got the chips into the middle to get looked up by Baoqiang Ho.
Quan Zhou: 7♠7♥
Baoqiang Ho: Q♦Q♥
The dominated pair found no help on the A♠K♠J♥2♣5♠ board and that spelled the end for Zhou in 26th place.
Valentino Konakchiev took down a pot against Eric Wasserson when he bet the Q♥J♠2♠5♣ turn for 125,000.
Wasserson raised to 50,000 next and claimed the blinds before he defended his big blind against a button raise by Konakchiev for 55,000. On the A♣8♦2♥ flop, Wasserson check-called for 35,000 and they checked down the 5♦ turn as well as 4♦ river. Wasserson tabled J♣8♠ for a pair of eights, which Konakchiev had beat with the Q♥Q♦.
The hand was picked up with over 400,000 in the middle on the board of 2♠K♠3♥2♦3♣.
David Kaufmann opted to go all-in for his final 305,000. Dario Sammartino faced a decision for his tournament life as his stack was left with approximately 275,000. Sammartino went into the tank before he put some chips in the middle to signal a call.
Kaufmann showed K♣Q♠ for kings up, Sammartino showed K♥J♠ for the same two pair, but with an inferior kicker, to be eliminated from the tournament early on Day 3.
Eric Wasserson raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Benjamin Chalot defended the big blind. Both checked the A♣K♥4♥ flop before Chalot led the 9♦ turn for 110,000, Wasserson called. On the 5♣ river, both checked and Chalot won the pot with the A♥6♠.

Del Pino has amassed more than one million in earnings, according to The Hendon Mob, as he searches for his first WSOP bracelet. The Spaniard has been active this summer and has cashed in four events heading into this event, making this his fifth cash of the 2025 World Series of Poker. His highest finish came in Event #68: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em, where he recorded a 20th place finish for $31,751.
Del Pino is guaranteed to surpass that regardless of where he finishes in this event, as the minimum cash moving forward is $34,124. Should Del Pino win, it will nearly double his total recorded live earnings.
Leonard Maue
High Roller Leonard Maue is an experienced player at these stakes and has tallied five total cashes, including this event, so far at the 2025 WSOP. Maue is coming off an 11th-place finish in Event #88: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, where he cashed for $175,048.
Maue came close to a bracelet in the six-handed format back in 2019 when he finished fourth. He will look to add the WSOP bracelet to the mantle for the first time in his accomplished career.
Mike Watson
Notables Mike Watson (970,000), Daniel Negreanu (935,000), Sam Soverel (925,000), and Sean Winter (815,000) are still in the chase as the tournament heads into Day 3.
