The 10♣10♦9♥ flop gave Kempton a boat, leaving Miegal drawing to just running aces or running tens. Miegal was drawing dead by the 7♥ turn and after the Q♠ river he was sent to the rail while Kempton took the pot.

In a limped pot to the K♥8♣4♦ flop, Sean Winter checked and Gustavo Ortega checked back to the 9♠ turn. Winter bet 180,000 and Orta called before Winter checked the 6♥ on the river. Ortega bet 800,000 with 15,000 behind and Winter folded with a somewhat bewildered facial expression.

Tzai Wei Phua was eliminated in the last hand before players went on break.

According to his former tablemates, Daniel Vicente opened from under the gun and Sam Soverel three-bet from the cutoff. Phua four-bet shoved from the big blind, Vicente folded and Soverel called to put him at risk.

Soverel made top set on the 9x3x2x flop and remained ahead on the turn and river to eliminate Phua and extend his lead over the rest of the field.

Maue's River Jam Called by Ortega

Over 300,000 was in the middle when the hand was picked up between Gustavo Ortega and Leonard Maue, who were entangled in yet another pot.

Ortega bet 300,000 on the Q♠9♦Q♥K♥ board. Maue surveyed the situation before he called to send them to a river.

The 5♠ river did not slow Ortega down, who bet 650,000. Maue went into the tank before he elected to jam for 1,400,000.

Ortega asked for a count and pondered before he eventually pushed two stacks of chips in to signal a call.

Maue showed J♣10♣ for a straight. Ortega did not show as Maue dragged in a big pot.

The 9♥7♣7♠ flop gave Soverel the open-ended straight draw, which he missed on the K♦ turn but hit on the 6♦ river to finish the job he had started only a few minutes ago. Former big stack Chalot departed in 15th place for $50,843.
