Richard Gryko opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 275,000. His only customer was Jeremy Ausmus, who defended his big blind.

Here, Ausmus led out for the first time, betting the max of 1,100,000. Gryko went deep into the tank, and was motionless for a good five minutes. Eventually, he flicked in a chip, then some more upon seeing that he was beaten by the K♥K♠9♠6♦ of Ausmus for top boat.
