Zachary Schwartz opened to 750,000 under the gun, before Joshua Ladines repotted to 2,375,000 from the big blind. Schwartz shoved and Ladines snapped.

The 9A4 gave both players backdoor draws, with the 4 turn only bringing in Ladines', as he freerolled his opponent. However, the Q river brought no blood, and the two chopped the pot.

The very next hand, Richard Gryko opened to 650,000, and Ladines three-bet potted yet again, this time for slightly less, as the value was 2,200,000. Gryko made the call, then snap-called a shove on the 96Q flop.

Richard Gryko: KJ107

Both players had the same wrap, and Ladines was in the lead with ace-high but Gryko's seven meant that an eight would award him the full pot. The 10 turn gave both players the nut straight, and the freeroll began. The Q river meant that for a second time, Ladines would chop for his tournament life.
