Riordan Doubles up

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

John Riordan got it all in preflop from the big blind, and found himself up against Rabah Ait Abdelmalek, who had originally opened on the button.

John Riordan: QQJ10 All in
Rabah Ait Abdelmalek: KK86

Riordan had a tough task ahead of him, having to crack kings to stay alive. The 4410 gave him two additional outs. He didn't hit either of them, but his rivered set on the 5Q runout kept him in the tournament.

Kamani Wins a Multi-Way Pot

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Five players saw the flop come down 810Q and after four checks, Ashok Kamani bet 1,200 from the button. David Diaz called from the small blind, and Stephen Moreschi called from under the gun.

The 9 appeared on the turn, and the action checked to Kamani once again. He bet 6,000, which forced both players to fold. Moreschi revealed QJ98 as he folded for a flopped straight.

Rean Makes the Right Call With a Set

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Nirath Rean bet 4,000 from the cutoff on the A710 flop. Ricardo Alvarado called from the small blind, and Matt O'Donnell called from the hijack.

After it checked to Rean on the 5 turn, he bet 9,000, and Alvardo responded with a check-raise to 44,700. O'Donnell immediately folded, and Rean went into the tank. After thinking for over three minutes, Rean called for his 37,000 total.

Ricardo Alvarado: AK102

Karp Triples to Survive

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Eli Karp potted under the gun, before Pei Li in the cutoff repotted it. Quan Tran flatted Li's three-bet, and Karp called all in for his tournament life. On a flop of 32K Tran check-folded to a bet of 5,000 from Li.

Quan Tran: AK104

Karp was in need of a lot of help, but seemed to take some inspiration off Michael Mizrachi as he hit a running flush on J5 to stay alive, while Tran took in the side pot.
