Shoreman Jumps the Gun

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action was picked up on a flop of 45K with 16,000 in the middle. Small blind Arthur Morris checked it over to cutoff Jon Shoreman, who bet out for 12,000. Abteen “Uptown” Vaziri let go of his cards on the button, but Morris stuck around to see a turn.

When the 9 peeled off, Morris checked again, and this time Shoreman sized up to 49,000, leaving just over 10,000 behind. After just over a minute, Shoreman aggressively asked the dealer to call the clock, enough to make Vaziri on his left jump. Floor arrived, and the table agreed that Morris had not had sufficient time to act. Before the official clock started, Morris made the fold.

Sitbon Finds the Call

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river, with the board reading 632KQ and 63,500 in the middle. Yasheel Doddanavar was in the small blind, and shoved his remaining 55,000 into the middle. Julien Sitbon in the big blind only just covered his opponent, with 500 chips on top. After some thinking, he stuck in the call.

"Just a set," announced Doddanavar, showing A665. Sitbon had K544 for a straight, sending his opponent home.

Najeem Ajez raised to 4,000 from the hijack with Eric Cloutier calling on the button, Scott Seiver calling from the small blind, and David Jenkins defending his big blind.

After two checks on the 8K3 flop, Ajez fired out 7,500, which was only called by Jenkins.

Lee Has the Better Kicker

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Roland Israelashvili raised to 6,000 under the gun with Sonny Lee, Bin Duan, and David Shaw making the call.

Four checks followed the 385 flop to see the 8 appear on the turn. Duan checked the small blind, which allowed Shaw to bet 13,000 from the big blind. Lee was the only caller from the hijack.

Both players were happy to check the 7 river and Shaw announced "Eight" and turned over J8 for trips. Lee tabled KQJ8 for trips with a higher kicker in the king, allowing him to drag in the pot.
