Ausmus Waits Out the Tank

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

Richard Gryko opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 275,000. His only customer was Jeremy Ausmus, who defended his big blind.

The 10KQ flop brought a bet of 200,000 from Gryko when checked to, and Ausmus just flatted. The 10 river then checked through, bringing in the brick 6 river. Here, Ausmus led out for the first time, betting the max of 1,100,000. Gryko went deep into the tank, and was motionless for a good five minutes. Eventually, he flicked in a chip, then some more upon seeing that he was beaten by the KK96 of Ausmus for top boat.

Brad Albrinck Eliminated in 8th Place ($43,538)

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Brad Albrinck
Brad Albrinck

Fahredin Mustafov opened to 360,000 from the small blind and Brad Albrinck called from the big blind.

The flop came 6J9 and Mustafov shoved, covering Albrinck who had around 750,000 left. Albrinck called and was at risk.

Brad Albrinck: J1087 All in
Fahredin Mustafov: J854

Both players had top pair but Albrinck had a wrap to go along with it. The A5 runout gave Albrinck a straight to double through Mustafov.

The next hand saw Richard Gryko open to 325,000 from the cutoff and Albrinck three-bet to 1,095,000 from the small blind. Gryko called.

The flop came 634 and Albrinck shoved for 1,210,000. Gryko called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Brad Albrinck: A865 All in
Richard Gryko: QQ107

Albrinck had top pair and a straight draw while Gryko was ahead with an overpair. The 910 runout changed nothing for either player and Albrinck was sent to the rail one spot shy of the final table.

Ladines Wins the Biggest Pot of the Tournament So Far

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Joshua Ladines
Joshua Ladines

Joshua Ladines limped under the gun before Richard Gryko raised to 480,000 from the small blind. Jeremy Ausmus called from the big blind, but Ladines limp-raised the pot to 2,120,000. Gryko potted it back to 6,840,000, forcing Ausmus to fold. Ladines started with 5,075,000, and called to put himself at risk.

Joshua Ladines: AA43 All in
Richard Gryko: AAQ3

Both players had aces, and it seemed likely that the result would be a chop pot.

The dealer put out a flop of Q94, giving both players a pair, and a chance to win the entire pot. The 10 turn didn't change anything, but the board-pairing 4 river improved Ladines to trips to win the pot, and take the chip lead from Gryko.

Zarvan Tumboli Eliminated in 7th Place ($57,945)

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Zarvan Tumboli
Zarvan Tumboli

Richard Gryko opened up the betting with a raise to 325,000 from middle position. Joshua Ladines made the call from the cutoff, as did Zachary Schwartz on the button. Big blind Zarvan Tumboli then announced "pot," for a bet of 1,685,000. Gryko and Ladines both got out of the way, but Schwartz opted to call.

The flop came down 886 and Tumboli instantly shoved for the 1,500,000 he had behind. Schwartz snapped him off, as Tumboli asked if he had an eight.

Zachary Schwartz: J1098

Tumboli's rail called for a king, then changed their cries to a club on the 3 turn, however the 10 river filled Schwartz up, sending Tumboli home early.

Mustafov Moves into Pole Position

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Fahredin Mustafov
Fahredin Mustafov

Zachary Schwartz made it 350,000 to go from the hijack, and Fahredin Mustafov potted it to 1,230,000 from the cutoff. After the button and blinds folded, Schwartz called.

When the flop came down 4106, Mustafov got all of his stack of 4,470,000 into the middle, and Schwartz called to try and eliminate him.

Fahredin Mustafov: AAQ9 All in
Zachary Schwartz: KK85

Schwartz had kings and a gutshot against the aces of Mustafov. The Q turn was good for Mustafov, and the 9 river gave him two pair, and cemented his double-up at the expense of Schwartz.

Gryko Wins One Multi-Way

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Richard Gryko opened up the action with a raise to 350,000 from the cutoff. Jeremy Ausmus made the call from the button, as did Joshua Ladines and Zachary Schwartz in the blinds. All four players checked on the 8J10 flop, bringing in the 7c turn.

Here, Gryko led out for 1,150,000 when checked to. Ausmus and Ladines paid to see a river, but Schwartz got out of the way. Gryko then announced "all in," for 3,370,000 following a check from Ladines. Asumus folded quickly, but Ladines took a little longer. Eventually, he let his cards go.
