Sion Nearly Times Out

Level 14

Seven Card Stud

Elior Sion: XxXx/J2A7/Xx - folded on seventh street
Kane Kalas: XxXx/Q846/Xx

Elior Sion completed, after which Kane Kalas raised. Sion called to fourth street, where he called a bet by Kalas as well. Sion checked fifth street after gaining the betting lead, and Kalas bet. Sion then raised, and Kalas called.

Sion kept firing on sixth street, seeing Kalas call again. Sion slowed down on seventh street, checking it over to Kalas. Kalas' subsequent bet sent Sion in the tank.

After some time, the clock was called on Sion. During the final ten seconds of his countdown, Sion let his hand go as he gave up on the pot.

Daniel Negreanu completed and David Oppenheim defended his bring-in.

Negreanu bet on fourth street and called all in facing a raise from Oppenheim.

Negreanu was ahead with queens against Oppenheim's split fours, and neither player's boards improved them further to award Negreanu the double up.

Keller Survives with Half; Hellmuth in the Danger Zone

Level 14

Stud Hi-Lo

Jesse Klein: XxXx / 93 - folded on fourth street
Jon Turner: XxXx / A8A2 / Xx
Thomas Keller: XxXx / 6K510 / Xx All in
Phil Hellmuth: XxXx / JXx - folded on fourth street
Jason Mercier: XxXx / 82K3 / Xx

Hellmuth limped next to the bring-in which brought along the others as it went five ways to fourth.

Turner led on fourth, Keller called, Hellmuth folded, Mercier called, and Klein folded.

Turner led fifth with open aces, Keller raised all-in for 36,000, and both Mercier and Turner called.

Turner would lead again on sixth and seventh and Mercier called down for the side pot. Turner revealed K44 in the hole for aces-up while Mercier revealed J54 for an eight-five low, and the side pot was chopped.

Keller had 1085 as he caught a fifth club on seventh to make his flush, and he won the high for the main pot to survive.

Limit Hold'em

Chris Hunichen raised under the gun, and Phil Hellmuth called off his last 29,000 in the big blind.

Chris Hunichen: AQ All in
Phil Hellmuth: J2

Hunichen flopped two pair on 8QA but Hellmuth had a flush draw for some outs. The 6 turn did not bring a spade, and neither did the Q river as Hunichen's full house sent Hellmuth to the rail.

At another table, Andrew Kelsall lost his final chips to Clayton Mozdzen in a pot of seven card stud.

Razz

Christopher Claassen: 5xAx/2xJx4xAx/8x All in
Christian Roberts: 7xAx/10x3x6xQx/4x

Christian Roberts bet on fourth street, and Christopher Claassen called. After four bets on fifth street, Claassen was all in and at risk.

Roberts made a seven-low on seventh street. Claassen's wheel draw turned into an eight-low, but it was not enough to win the pot.

"Alright boys, see you next year," Claassen said to his former table on the way out.

Miller Drills the Freeroll to Eliminate Bleznick

Level 15

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jared Bleznick raised from early position and was called by Ryan Miller in the small blind and Brian Breck in the big blind.

On the QJ10 flop, it checked to Bleznick who bet. Miller called, Breck raised, Bleznick made it three bets, Miller four-bet, and both opponents called.

The turn brought the J as it checked to Bleznick once more who bet, Miller raised, Breck folded, and Bleznick called all-in.

Jared Bleznick: AKQ7 All in
Ryan Miller: AK105

Both players held broadway but Miller had the redraw to the diamond flush. The dealer peeled the 3 on the river as Miller hit his freeroll to eliminate Bleznick in brutal fashion.

Seven Card Stud

Daniel Negreanu: AQ8/AKQAAll in
Nacho Barbero: 652/2288
Phil Ivey: XxXx/4Q10K/Xx

After ante'ing down to a single 5,000 chip in Razz, Daniel Negreanu was forced all in on the first hand of Seven Card Stud.

Phil Ivey and Nacho Barbero called the bring-in and then checked on fourth street.

Ivey called bets from Barbero on fifth through seventh street and Barbero tabled a deuce in the hole for a full house, which got a muck from Ivey.

Negreanu hadn't looked yet, and first peeled the A to improve to trip aces.

Negreanu then flipped over the 8, which changed nothing, but slowly peeled his final card, which turned out to be the Q — improving Negreanu to a higher full house to climb to 35,000.

Daniel Negreanu: 1065/A936 All in
Tomasz Gluszko: J98/910Q10
Jesse Lonis: JJ4/5746

Daniel Negreanu completed, Tomasz Gluszko raised, and Jesse Lonis three-bet. Nergeanu called off his last chips, and Gluszko came along to fourth street as well.

Gluszko then check-called a bet from Lonis before he led out on fifth street. Lonis called to sixth street, which both players checked. Seventh street was also knuckled by both players, creating a showdown.

Gluszko tabled a straight for the winning hand, beating the two pair of Lonis and the sixes of Negreanu to win the pot and eliminate the latter from the tournament.

Wasserson Drags One Multi-Way

Level 15

Seven Card Stud

Eric Wasserson: XxXx / 10Q310 / Xx
Jon Kyte: XxXx / 6296 / Xx
Christian Roberts: XxXx / 7865 / Xx

Action picked up on fourth as Wasserson led and both opponents called.

Wasserson then checked on fifth to Kyte who bet, and both called again.

Wasserson led again on sixth with open tens before seventh checked through. Wasserson tabled K10Xx in the hole for trip tens which were enough for the victory, as Kyte showed Q9 for a missed flush draw and Roberts could not make a straight despite his dangerous board.
