Park Avoids Disaster

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Christopher Mason raised to 1,600 in the cutoff, which both Shaun McBride and Andy Park called in the blinds.

On a 210J flop, McBride checked, Park led out for 2,000, which Mason called, before McBride folded.

The 6 turn saw both players check before Park picked his betting lead back up on the 4 river, putting 4,500 into the middle. Mason wasted no time in calling, and Park flipped over QQ, showing an overpair. It was no good, though, as Mason tabled AA, showing that Park avoided quite a disaster, should he have raised preflop.
