Peixoto Spikes the River
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Carlos Peixoto was heard cheering after he had just secured a double up from early position through Reginald Alston in the big blind.
The pot stood at 17,300 and the board was already dealt with players looking at the 6♣A♥3♥K♥J♥ runout. Peixoto had just 2,800 left that he committed to on the river.
Carlos Pombal Peixoto: A♦8♥
Reginald Alston: A♣K♣
Alston had flopped top pair, turned two pair, but Peixoto had rivered the heart flush to secure him the pot.
