Lin Flops the Straight

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Players were three-ways and on the 678 flop with a pot of around 4,500. Mark Watson bet 5,000 on the flop from middle position and Santiago Martinez called from the button. Ping Lin jammed for his remaining 26,100 from the big blind and action went back to Watson.

Watson asked the dealer for a count before taking around 30 seconds to muck his hand. Martinez also went into a small tank before he lifted up a matching stack to call.

Ping Lin: 54All in
Santiago Martinez: Q9

Lin had flopped the straight and was ahead of Martinez's open-ended straight draw and diamond flush draw.

The 6 turn didn't change the standings and the chance of a steal from Martinez came to and end as the dealer placed the 2 river. Lin left unscathed and got more than a full double-up from the hand.
