Douglas Fires at Three-Way Pot; Hoenig Gets Paid on Big River Bet
Level 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
David Lloyd three-bet to 1,300 in the hijack and was called by Kevin Douglas in the cutoff and George Karvounis in early position.
Action checked to Douglas on the 9♦7♠2♦ flop and he bet 1,700. Only Karvounis called, and the Q♣ fell on the turn.
Douglas then bet 2,100, and Karvounis again called. The river was the 9♥ and Douglas bet 3,000. Karvounis quickly folded this time.
At another table, Ryan Hoenig and Roongsak Griffeth went to the river on a board of 6♥7♣6♠5♠2♣ with nearly 30,000 in the middle when Hoenig bet 25,600. Griffeth tanked for a few minutes before calling, and Hoenig showed 9♣6♣ for trips to win the big pot.
