Pou Turns on Blackburn
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Carlos Pou was in the small blind and already in a pot with Radd Blackburn who was in early position. The pair were already on the J♦10♥9♠ flop with a pot of 24,000.
Pou moved all in for his last 65,100 and was called by Blackburn, and the players had just tabled their cards.
Carlos Pou: Q♣Q♥
Radd Blackburn: J♥J♣
Pou was behind with pocket queens as Blackburn had flopped a set of jacks. Pou had some outs with the open-ended straight draw, and he stood at the table to watch his fate run out.
He didn't have to wait long as the 8♣ came on the turn, and he kept the lead (and his seat in the tournament), as the 7♠ fell on the river.
