Stashin Nearly Gets a Cruel Needle

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Stashin on the button and small blind Jamie Dwan got all their chips in the middle before the flop.

Michael Stashin: 1010 All in
Jamie Dwan: AK

The two players were racing with nearly identical stacks, and Dwan took the lead on the AJ6 flop with top pair. The rest of the board ran out 4Q, and Dwan secured the pot.

Stashin told the table he had 75,000 and that Dwan had him covered as he headed for the exit. Tablemate Chris Wallace, though, they pointed out that Stashin actually had 107,000, and the table tried to call Stashin back.

Wallace then noticed that he was actually counting some of Dwan's stack, as well, and Dwan actually had Stashin covered. "Don't needle the poor guy," Marsha Wolak added.
