Day 2 Action

Out of a starting field of 627, 95 made the money which included Joao Simao, Kristen Foxen, and Michael Moncek. While several notable players would not walk away with the $19,999 minimum cash would include Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Alex Foxen and Chance Kornuth.

Stephen Chidwick bagged 1,300,000 after a strong finish to Day 2. Chidwick was everyone's favourite person as he busted Barry Woods on the stone bubble, Woods decided to four-bet shove king-queen for 500,000 chips but ran into Chidwick’s kings. This pot took Chidwick to over 1,000,000 chips for the first time in the tournament.

Robert “BJP” James is among the players still chasing their first WSOP gold bracelet, and can also surpass his career-best score with a top-four finish. Terrance Reid will also return tomorrow, June 3 at noon chasing his first bracelet.
